Challenge

The market is constantly changing. Yet, we rarely have the time or space for the deep thinking that leads to innovative brand work. That’s why we’re creating Future Brand Week. A internal hackathon for Atlassian's creative teams to shape the future of our brand.

The Goal

To break boundaries and push thinking around what’s next for the Atlassian brand. Welcoming inspiration from anywhere—TikTok saves, dinner table debates, trends we love (or hate), and cool things other brands do that we’d love to do.

Approach

Break routines: Create space for creative teams to step away from the day-to-day and explore the what-ifs and if-onlys that spark new ideas.
Share new POVs:
Connect brand and creative teams to fresh perspectives—new faces, new influences, and new ways of thinking.
Push for change:
Design program briefs around high-priority brand territories while encouraging bold, curiosity-driven exploration.
Keep it fun:
Pushed the format of the program to inspire particpants across virtual environments—with Easter egg delights, a launch trailer, weekly inspiration drops, and prizes embedded everywhere.

Design an organic brand campaign that differentiates Atlassian beyond B2B tech and creates opportunities for audience engagement and connection.

Process

Discover: In the discovery phase, I conducted comprehensive market research, performed a thorough brand assessment, and conducted audience segmentation. This process was instrumental in establishing a strong foundation for the campaign.


Define: To lay the grounds for a robust and well-connected campaign, I developed a campaign strategy by first clearly defining the scope and goals of the campaign. This involved defining unique value propositions, specific audience segments, and setting clear objectives, complete with key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively track progress and measure success.


Develop: In the development phase, I collaborated with creative teams to design visual assets, craft campaign narratives, and inform visual and message consistency by fine-tuning concepts across distinct channels and audiences.


Deliver: In executing the campaign across each of Atlassian's owned channels, I worked directly with external social media agencies to monitor performance in real-time. I also conducted comprehensive post-campaign evaluations, leveraging newfound insights to revitalize and refine ongoing campaign initiatives.
